A speed limiter is a device designed to make driving safer by holding the car’s speed down to a value set in advance. When we program it, we set the fixed maximum speed you have asked for. From then on the driver cannot go past that value in normal, everyday use of the car.
The permanent speed limiter is the right answer for anyone who lends their car to family or friends.
- The limiter is configured permanently, which means the maximum speed cannot be changed by whoever is driving.
- The driver cannot switch it off. The only way past the limit is the optional RFID key, and that key stays with you.
- Touch the key to the sensor and the limiter stands down for as long as the engine is running. Switch the engine off and the limit comes back on its own.
- For the driver it works automatically and requires no extra steps in day-to-day use of the car.
